Ercole Giordano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from André Luís Trigo went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The Botafogo AP fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Botafogo AP's André Luís Trigo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Botafogo AP's Diamantino Loyola quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Dave De Cesaris, made in the 23rd minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Ferdinando Walcher put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Chiquinho Vasconcelos. 29 minutes into the match, André Luís Trigo notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Broom of the System DA13's Ercole Giordano. Ercole Giordano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luís Guilherme Saldanha charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Guilherme Saldanha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd minute, Luís Guilherme Saldanha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, André Luís Trigo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ercole Giordano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Eriberto Esteves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ercole Giordano having to make a save. Eriberto Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ercole Giordano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1-5 became the score in the 45th minute when André Luís Trigo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for André Luís Trigo to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, André Luís Trigo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ercole Giordano. Broom of the System DA13's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Luís Trigo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. After some careless play in the Broom of the System DA13 defense, André Luís Trigo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ercole Giordano. The Broom of the System DA13 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ercole Giordano should have stopped the shot. Dagoberto Paulista hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Ciccio Di Ruscio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Chiquinho Vasconcelos. Botafogo AP's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Cesare Aquilino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Botafogo AP getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Mané Souza hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Botafogo AP's zone, Ferdinando Walcher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chiquinho Vasconcelos came out of the goal and Ferdinando Walcher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th minute, André Luís Trigo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th minute, Cesare Aquilino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 1-8 became the score in the 71st minute when André Luís Trigo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Clemente Lopes scored 1-9 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ercole Giordano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ercole Giordano stood somewhat misplaced when André Luís Trigo came free in front of goal and shot 1-10 to the left of him in the 79 minute. Botafogo AP made a substitution. Frank Goiano replaced Agnaldo de Godoi. When Botafogo AP's André Luís Trigo in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Broom of the System DA13's goalie prevented a goal. Ercole Giordano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luís Trigo in the 91st minute of play. Botafogo AP made a substitution. Humberto Maia replaced André Luís Trigo. In a very dangerous position, a player in Broom of the System DA13 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! Botafogo AP's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
