Serafin Semeno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gică Bourceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute, Angelo Rito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 9 minutes into the game, Benigno Mendiko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ascacibar-Pérez's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C SBG DTR the free kick. After 9 played minutes Ascacibar-Pérez got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Mendiko. Calistrat Ivașcu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Faustino Enol in the 16th minute. After having played for 17 minutes, Angelo Rito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ascacibar-Pérez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Rito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ascacibar-Pérez's Angelo Rito was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 19th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Calistrat Ivașcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Rito in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, F.C SBG DTR's Ovidiu Dugulescu got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 27 minutes F.C SBG DTR's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Osvaldo Ihazintu who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Casimiro Kemen heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Casimiro Kemen during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th minute, Casimiro Kemen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Osvaldo Ihazintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of F.C SBG DTR booed when Ascacibar-Pérez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Rito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Casimiro Kemen scored 2-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Calistrat Ivașcu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Faustino Enol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Calistrat Ivașcu made a huge save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gigi Macamete was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Angelo Rito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Ivașcu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Calistrat Ivașcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Rito in the 54th minute of play. Calistrat Ivașcu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustino Enol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to F.C SBG DTR getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Ivan Crușeveanu hit a great ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Faustino Enol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ascacibar-Pérez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Faustino Enol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Angelo Rito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Calistrat Ivașcu was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Faustino Enol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Calistrat Ivașcu having to make a save. When Ascacibar-Pérez's Angelo Rito in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ovidiu Dugulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Faustino Enol made a precise shot to the right of Calistrat Ivașcu. F.C SBG DTR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. In the 84th minute Osvaldo Ihazintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Ivașcu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ascacibar-Pérez's Angelo Rito got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Eliodor Mutu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Faustino Enol took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Calistrat Ivașcu. Calistrat Ivașcu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Calistrat Ivașcu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustino Enol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Ascacibar-Pérez were the better team. Ascacibar-Pérez's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
