To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 95 minutes into the game, Kryspin Jaroszewicz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Serafin Semeno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Cosmos 1984 NewDance fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ascacibar-Pérez were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
