The crowd rose to their feet as GoalHunters's Pedro Jerrold slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Serafin Semeno. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Serafin Semeno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Jerrold in the 7th minute of the match. Călin Pătrășconiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Serafin Semeno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Gaúcho came free with the goalkeeper in the 12th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Serafin Semeno could save by the left post. Călin Pătrășconiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Serafin Semeno made a huge save. Darius Plop kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After having played for 17 minutes, Osvaldo Ihazintu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ascacibar-Pérez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Ihazintu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Jerrold in the 21st minute of play forced Ascacibar-Pérez's goalkeeper Serafin Semeno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Jienescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nereo Maties in the 26th minute of play. Călin Pătrășconiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Serafin Semeno made a huge save. Daniel Jienescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Maties, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ascacibar-Pérez's goalkeeper Serafin Semeno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of GoalHunters booed when Ascacibar-Pérez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Cordarrol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Călin Pătrășconiu scored 2-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serafin Semeno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Călin Pătrășconiu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Serafin Semeno firmly grabbed it by the left post. 44 minutes into the game, Pedro Jerrold recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Serafin Semeno. Pedro Jerrold showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Gaúcho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Jerrold in the 51st minute of play forced Ascacibar-Pérez's goalkeeper Serafin Semeno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 51 minutes of play, GoalHunters's Pedro Jerrold made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafin Semeno was left in no man's land by his defense there! Călin Pătrășconiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Semeno having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Călin Pătrășconiu notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Ascacibar-Pérez's Serafin Semeno. Serafin Semeno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 61st minute, Călin Pătrășconiu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serafin Semeno was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Ascacibar-Pérez's Serafin Semeno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Jerrold in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Octav Stoicescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serafin Semeno was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. 75 minutes into the match, Ascacibar-Pérez's goal looked a bit too open when Octav Stoicescu came free, but Serafin Semeno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Gaúcho made a great header on GoalHunters's corner, it was just that Ascacibar-Pérez's Serafin Semeno managed to reach the ball for a save.
