A collision led to October 04 getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Pedro Paulo Paes hit a great ball. Mircea Găvănescu hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. When Gigi Macamete fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C SBG DTR's protests and gave Gigi Macamete a yellow card for diving instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Paulo Paes to strike the kick off in the second half.
