André Luís Trigo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Ermanno Briganti when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Broom of the System DA13's zone, Clemente Lopes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermanno Briganti came out of the goal and Clemente Lopes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Botafogo AP's Clóvis das Neves got a free kick in the 45th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alvaro Mastrangelo to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, André Luís Trigo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botafogo AP's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Luís Trigo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Botafogo AP booed when Broom of the System DA13 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eraldo Fantauzzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ermanno Briganti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Percy Reis was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Alvaro Mastrangelo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alvaro Mastrangelo really showed his touch with that goal: 4-1. In the 79th minute André Luís Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermanno Briganti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
