In the 46th minute Angelo Rito suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Mircea Găvănescu fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C SBG DTR's protests and gave Mircea Găvănescu a yellow card for diving instead. Ascacibar-Pérez's Samuel Paio was substituted for Angelo Rito. The supporters of Ascacibar-Pérez booed when F.C SBG DTR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mircea Găvănescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in F.C SBG DTR's zone, Samuel Paio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calistrat Ivașcu came out of the goal and Samuel Paio tried to chip the ball over his head. Calistrat Ivașcu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Maties in the 97th minute of the match. The F.C SBG DTR fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ascacibar-Pérez were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
