The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, PowerHawKings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Cesaroni to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, PowerHawKings's Alex Ruggeri got control of the ball when Călin Pătrășconiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alex Ruggeri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Jerrold in the 6th minute of the match. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by PowerHawKings's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leontin Traianescu was slow to take the kick. During this time GoalHunters's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Leontin Traianescu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but PowerHawKings's Alex Ruggeri did a great save. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Călin Pătrășconiu took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Alex Ruggeri to make any attempt to save it. GoalHunters's Daniel Jienescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Biagio Sivieri in the 14th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Gaúcho got free with Alex Ruggeri in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th minute of the match GoalHunters got a corner. PowerHawKings's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leontin Traianescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alex Ruggeri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Jerrold, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, João Gaúcho put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Alex Ruggeri. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for PowerHawKings! The supporters of PowerHawKings booed when GoalHunters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Pedro Jerrold reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alex Ruggeri. The goal made the score 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in PowerHawKings's zone, Darius Plop stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Ruggeri came out of the goal and Darius Plop tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Călin Pătrășconiu did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Alex Ruggeri 39 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the game, João Gaúcho lined in a short shot 5-0 behind a frustrated Alex Ruggeri. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerry Scotti made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, PowerHawKings's goal looked a bit too open when João Gaúcho came free, but Alex Ruggeri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Ruggeri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octav Stoicescu in the 56th minute of play. 56 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when GoalHunters's João Gaúcho fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. PowerHawKings's Alex Ruggeri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Călin Pătrășconiu in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Călin Pătrășconiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Ruggeri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GoalHunters's João Gaúcho got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to PowerHawKings getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Alfonso Santoro hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the match, PowerHawKings's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Jerrold came free, but Alex Ruggeri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. GoalHunters were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after PowerHawKings's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leontin Traianescu took the corner. The corner led GoalHunters's Leontin Traianescu to fire away a dangerous shot which Alex Ruggeri despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 70th minute Pedro Jerrold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Ruggeri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Călin Pătrășconiu scored 7-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alex Ruggeri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerry Scotti got free with Daniel Jienescu in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 77 played minutes PowerHawKings got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Cesaroni. In the 78th minute, Călin Pătrășconiu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alex Ruggeri was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. In the 81st minute Călin Pătrășconiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Ruggeri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PowerHawKings's Alex Ruggeri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Călin Pătrășconiu in the 83rd minute of play. GoalHunters's Octav Stoicescu got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alex Ruggeri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Călin Pătrășconiu in the 86th minute of play. PowerHawKings's Alex Ruggeri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Jerrold in the 87th minute of play. Octav Stoicescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Ruggeri having to interfere. GoalHunters's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
