But to his dismay, Akis Stathakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Pedro Gorka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Anastasios Politakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nemesio Cerilo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panagiotis Lazaratos, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. If Apostolos Moisiadis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Pastor Fidele got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pastor Fidele got free with Anastasios Politakis in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nemesio Cerilo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apostolos Moisiadis in the 36th minute of play. pciclon were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after P.A.O.K. Patras F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Santo Normando took the corner. Anastasios Politakis came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by pciclon's Pastor Fidele. But to his dismay, Pastor Fidele quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The corner led pciclon's Santo Normando to fire away a dangerous shot which Anastasios Politakis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After some careless play in the P.A.O.K. Patras F.C. defense, Pedro Gorka kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anastasios Politakis. The P.A.O.K. Patras F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anastasios Politakis should have stopped the shot.
