Patras F.C.'s Anastasios Politakis got control of the ball when Fabinho dos Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Patras F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Demis Tavanopoulos to maneuver through the defense. Anastasios Politakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafinha Trancoso in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Manos Papoutsiadis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The P.A.O.K. Patras F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Apostolos Moisiadis made a kick off. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Fabinho dos Santos sped through P.A.O.K. Patras F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anastasios Politakis. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manos Papoutsiadis got free with Acácio Lara in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
