Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) 7 minutes into the match, Albert Pani had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mauro de Salles. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albert Pani was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Wilson Vidal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Natalio Mitxaut having to make a save. Dalmo Rocha took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Natalio Mitxaut. Natalio Mitxaut dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 22 minutes into the match, Niceto Bernad notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mauro de Salles. Mauro de Salles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Natalio Mitxaut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalmo Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rene Gaueko kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Dalmo Rocha took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Natalio Mitxaut. Natalio Mitxaut dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Emanuel Markel's late challenge caught a Nova Iguaçu MZFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Markel helped the player get up and apologised. Emanuel Markel hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilson Vidal in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Natalio Mitxaut saved 1989 Blxsk from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as 1989 Blxsk's Bernabe Dacio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mauro de Salles. That made the score 3-2 after 34 minutes of play. Natalio Mitxaut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dalmo Rocha to make the kick off. The supporters of Nova Iguaçu MZFC booed when 1989 Blxsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Iaki didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1989 Blxsk's Natalio Mitxaut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmo Rocha in the 57th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Dalmo Rocha dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Natalio Mitxaut, 3-3. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Cesinha Cruz was substituted for Vladimir Braga. Nova Iguaçu MZFC made a substitution. Zé Carlos Cordeiro replaced Anselmo Batista. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dalmo Rocha in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Natalio Mitxaut prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 74th minute Wilson Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Mitxaut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dudu Queiroz in the 76th minute. The corner led to Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Zé Carlos Cordeiro getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Luizinho Neves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Natalio Mitxaut narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Natalio Mitxaut made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Renato Souza in the 80th minute. With a little luck, 1989 Blxsk's Natalio Mitxaut got control of the ball when Wilson Vidal tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 88 played minutes 1989 Blxsk got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Iaki. Paulo Renato Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Mitxaut having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
