In the 14th minute, Lester Nygaard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauro de Salles was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Luizinho Neves got a throw-in 18 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Telmo Barbosa. If Wilson Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 22 played minutes Nova Iguaçu MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Batista. After a rather tough play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Juvenal Novaes got a free kick in the 31st minute. Mauro de Salles came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by ≮王者归来≯News at 11's Marco Dias. But to his dismay, Marco Dias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Wilson Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Ernani Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jailson de Carvalho made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Marco Dias took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Mauro de Salles to make any attempt to save it. In the 56th minute Lester Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jailson de Carvalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernani Oliveira was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. The Nova Iguaçu MZFC fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Jailson de Carvalho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. ≮王者归来≯News at 11's Ernani Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jailson de Carvalho in the 72nd minute of play. Ernani Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Renato Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Dias got free with Mauro de Salles in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mauro de Salles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Dias in the 78th minute. Ernani Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jailson de Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, ≮王者归来≯News at 11's goal looked a bit too open when Jailson de Carvalho came free, but Ernani Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
