The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Loco De Remate's Rene Aires sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Atahan Balon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rene Aires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Loco De Remate getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Godfredo Luix hit a great ball. In the 9th match minute, Los Muchachos del 86 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saverio Brion to maneuver through the defense. Babbis Boukouvalas hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After having played for 11 minutes, Rene Aires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loco De Remate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Aires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 13 played minutes Loco De Remate got a freekick which was hit by Jerrold Barzana. Walmir Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albino Peruanton in the 15th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Rene Aires ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Atahan Balon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Walmir Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Asiz Soon in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jérémie Boix in the 22nd minute of play forced Loco De Remate's goalkeeper Walmir Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walmir Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jérémie Boix, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Loco De Remate's Walmir Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jérémie Boix in the 25th minute of play. Rene Aires blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Atahan Balon having to make a save. Atahan Balon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Aires, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Walmir Catarinense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Saverio Brion went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rene Aires to strike the kick off in the second half. When Rene Aires came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Loco De Remate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rene Aires couldn't finish the play. Jérémie Boix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmir Catarinense having to interfere. In the 58th minute Rene Aires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atahan Balon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hıdır Namal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Loco De Remate fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Loco De Remate's Clodoveo Christobal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 91st minute, Efrain Jacob made a precise shot to the right of Walmir Catarinense. Loco De Remate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. In the 94th minute Hıdır Namal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atahan Balon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Loco De Remate's goal looked a bit too open when Efrain Jacob came free, but Walmir Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Los Muchachos del 86's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
