Afiz Teo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 38th minute, Afiz Seng sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sporting de Gijón's Óscar Cordoba didn't even have to move. 40 minutes into the match, Redbourn AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Bilintx came free, but Afiz Teo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Afiz Teo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Curcio in the 42nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tan Cheng got free with Óscar Cordoba in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Sporting de Gijón's Óscar Cordoba got control of the ball when Tan Cheng tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matias Bilintx to strike the kick off in the second half. Bineesh Chee kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Redbourn AFC's Afiz Teo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Redbourn AFC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Redbourn AFC's Ryan Tan got a free kick in the 57th minute. The supporters of Sporting de Gijón booed when Redbourn AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryan Tan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afiz Teo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Sporting de Gijón's Mario Zanabria was substituted for Saturnino Curcio. After having played for 72 minutes, Matias Bilintx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting de Gijón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matias Bilintx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tan Cheng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Óscar Cordoba having to interfere. Sporting de Gijón's Atilano Feo was substituted for Carlo Crema. Redbourn AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Diego Maradona scored to the left of an out of position Afiz Teo, making the score, 0-5. Afiz Teo was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Matias Bilintx capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Matias Bilintx really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. With his leg Afiz Teo managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when Sporting de Gijón's Matias Bilintx fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Redbourn AFC's Afiz Teo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Redbourn AFC from getting a goal against them. After 90 minutes Redbourn AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gabriel Diaz who took care of the corner kick. Venancio Emesto made a great header on Sporting de Gijón's corner, it was just that Redbourn AFC's Afiz Teo managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 92nd minute Sporting de Gijón were awarded a corner. Gabriel Diaz went to the cornerflag to take it.
