Hlonda Boyz's Waldemar Nowakowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Hlonda Boyz from getting a goal against them. If Napoleon Szkarpiak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Akis Christatos during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Akis Christatos kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Alfred Michalski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 23 minutes into the game, Hlonda Boyz's Roch Budzyn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aris Tsobanis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Radomir Kosakowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aris Tsobanis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radomir Kosakowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. P.A.O.K. Patras F.C.'s Aris Tsobanis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radomir Kosakowski in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute Alfred Michalski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aris Tsobanis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roch Budzyn struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Aris Tsobanis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hlonda Boyz. Vladimiros Siomos charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vladimiros Siomos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After the first half Hlonda Boyz were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Demis Tavanopoulos to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, P.A.O.K. Patras F.C.'s Giorgos Antonopoulos got a free kick in the 55th minute. When Hlonda Boyz's Alfred Michalski in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye P.A.O.K. The crowd rose to their feet as Hlonda Boyz's Alfred Michalski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aris Tsobanis. That made the score 0-2 after 65 minutes of play. P.A.O.K. Patras F.C.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Alfred Michalski 68 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. The supporters of Hlonda Boyz booed when P.A.O.K. Patras F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgos Antonopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute Radomir Kosakowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aris Tsobanis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Hlonda Boyz getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Zdzislaw Lichucki hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the game, Giorgos Antonopoulos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Waldemar Nowakowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 93 minutes into the match, Akis Christatos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Waldemar Nowakowski. Hlonda Boyz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Akis Christatos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. The Hlonda Boyz supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hlonda Boyz would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
