Edu Rocha started the match with the kick off. Dimos Vranis kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Adalberto Toledo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Giorgos Antonopoulos went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Akis Christatos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 15 played minutes P.A.O.K. Patras F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Sotiris Panagiotopoulos. After 21 minutes P.A.O.K. Patras F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gilberto Moreira who took care of the corner kick. Aris Tsobanis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edu Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, Edu Rocha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aris Tsobanis. P.A.O.K. Patras F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edu Rocha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Edu Rocha charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edu Rocha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of P.A.O.K. Patras F.C. booed when 20 DE SETEMBRO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edu Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Clóvis Corrêa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 20 DE SETEMBRO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave P.A.O.K. Patras F.C. the free kick. After 44 played minutes 20 DE SETEMBRO got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis Corrêa. Adalberto Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgos Antonopoulos in the 45th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Sotiris Panagiotopoulos made the kick off in the second half. Clóvis Corrêa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Aris Tsobanis made a huge save. Válter Neto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Aris Tsobanis made a huge save. In the 57th minute, Sotiris Panagiotopoulos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adalberto Toledo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Válter Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, P.A.O.K. Patras F.C.'s goalkeeper Aris Tsobanis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Válter Neto. In the 67th minute of the match, Edinho Pitta got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aris Tsobanis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gilberto Moreira struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Aris Tsobanis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 20 DE SETEMBRO. Dimos Vranis kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the P.A.O.K. Patras F.C. defense, Válter Neto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aris Tsobanis. The P.A.O.K. Patras F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aris Tsobanis should have stopped the shot. Aris Tsobanis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edu Rocha in the 88th minute of the match. Edinho Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, P.A.O.K. Patras F.C.'s Fabian Waack got a free kick in the 95th minute. The long shot by Gilberto Moreira in the 96th minute really tested Aris Tsobanis's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The 20 DE SETEMBRO players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented P.A.O.K. Patras F.C. from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
