When Marin Tejerina fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New Team's protests and gave Marin Tejerina a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 played minutes New Team got a freekick which was hit by Marin Tejerina. 16 minutes into the match, New Team's goal looked a bit too open when Przemyslaw Przybylo came free, but Martinez Eguilaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martinez Eguilaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Przemyslaw Przybylo's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Jácome Elzuardi in the 20th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Milosz Ikalewicz. Martinez Eguilaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milosz Ikalewicz in the 21st minute of play. Zbyszko Walkowski struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Martinez Eguilaz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cosmos 1984 NewDance. Milosz Ikalewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Estacio Miñon in the 26th minute of play forced Cosmos 1984 NewDance's goalkeeper Józef Wandzik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, New Team's goal looked a bit too open when Przemyslaw Przybylo came free, but Martinez Eguilaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the New Team defense, Milosz Ikalewicz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martinez Eguilaz. The New Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martinez Eguilaz should have stopped the shot. In the 39th minute Przemyslaw Przybylo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martinez Eguilaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Martinez Eguilaz made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Przemyslaw Przybylo sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Przemyslaw Przybylo got free with Martinez Eguilaz in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 70th minute of the match, Zbyszko Walkowski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Martinez Eguilaz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Przemyslaw Przybylos short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Martinez Eguilaz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Estacio Miñon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Edmundo Falla fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New Team's protests and gave Edmundo Falla a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th match minute, New Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo Falla to maneuver through the defense. Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Remigiusz Barys was substituted for Milosz Ikalewicz. If Marin Tejerina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martinez Eguilaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigiusz Barys in the 93rd minute of the match. Remigiusz Barys took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martinez Eguilaz. Martinez Eguilaz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Cosmos 1984 NewDance's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
