Oktay Eğriöz might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luc Van Hinnendael. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oktay Eğriöz ran back to his position shaking his head. 3 minutes into the match, FC Bruges's goal looked a bit too open when Oktay Eğriöz came free, but Luc Van Hinnendael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 4 minutes into the match, Paso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xavies Muñagorri came free, but Mira Pene reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paso FC's Mira Pene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Van Kamp in the 7th minute of play. FC Bruges's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lasse Kroner in the 8th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mac Mon in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mira Pene prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oktay Eğriöz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luc Van Hinnendael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oktay Eğriöz, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 17 minutes, Oktay Eğriöz made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC Bruges's Luc Van Hinnendael tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Luc Van Hinnendael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oktay Eğriöz in the 20th minute of play. Mac Mon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mira Pene showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl Van Kamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Fedele Baggio made in the 33rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Paso FC's Silvio Sotelo. In the 36th minute of the game Fedele Baggio made a throw-in which Ken Brogren played forward. 40 minutes into the match, Paso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mac Mon came free, but Mira Pene reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The FC Bruges players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Paso FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oktay Eğriöz to make the kick off. Paso FC's Mira Pene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ken Brogren in the 56th minute of play. Mira Pene took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mac Mon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 62 played minutes FC Bruges got a freekick which was hit by Fedele Baggio. Mira Pene made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavies Muñagorri in the 64th minute of play. Denis Rivas in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luc Van Hinnendael, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Paso FC's Denis Rivas in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Bruges's goalie prevented a goal. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Bruges's goalkeeper Luc Van Hinnendael, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luc Van Hinnendael prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mira Pene stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mac Mon's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Denis Rivas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luc Van Hinnendael came out and tried to block the shot, but Denis Rivas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 87th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Paso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mac Mon came free, but Mira Pene reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paso FC's Mira Pene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mac Mon in the 93rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Bruges's zone, Denis Rivas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luc Van Hinnendael came out of the goal and Denis Rivas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Paso FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
