Fedele Baggio's late challenge caught a Montesacro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fedele Baggio helped the player get up and apologised. Fedele Baggio kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, FC Bruges's goalkeeper Luc Van Hinnendael had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Egil Sjögren. In the 11th minute Loco Palermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luc Van Hinnendael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 minutes of play, Montesacro FC's Loco Palermo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luc Van Hinnendael was left in no man's land by his defense there! FC Bruges's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Egil Sjögren 25 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. 31 minutes into the match, Montesacro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Shane Corrigan came free, but Giacomo Casanova reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mac Mon in the 35th minute of play forced Montesacro FC's goalkeeper Giacomo Casanova to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Egil Sjögren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Egil Sjögren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Luc Van Hinnendael made a huge save. In the 40th match minute, Montesacro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georg Skoglund to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, Juliusz Julien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lasse Kroner took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Giacomo Casanova. Montesacro FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Bruges's Philip Verhasselt got a free kick in the 45th minute. A hard shot by Juliusz Julien from long distance, 45 minutes into the match, got Luc Van Hinnendael's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 46th minute Xavies Muñagorri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giacomo Casanova saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Montesacro FC's Giacomo Casanova played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mac Mon in the 53rd minute of play. Luc Van Hinnendael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egil Sjögren, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After 60 played minutes Montesacro FC got a freekick which was hit by Edwin 雷震军. The long shot by Lasse Kroner in the 62nd minute really tested Giacomo Casanova's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 63 minutes into the match, Montesacro FC's goalkeeper Giacomo Casanova had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xavies Muñagorri. The corner led FC Bruges's Lasse Kroner to fire away a dangerous shot which Giacomo Casanova despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Egil Sjögren might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luc Van Hinnendael. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Egil Sjögren ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the FC Bruges defense, Loco Palermo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luc Van Hinnendael. The FC Bruges fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luc Van Hinnendael should have stopped the shot. Luc Van Hinnendael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egil Sjögren in the 72nd minute of play. Montesacro FC's Giacomo Casanova played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mac Mon in the 79th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Montesacro FC's Loco Palermo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luc Van Hinnendael made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Giacomo Casanova took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mac Mon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the last second Giacomo Casanova throw himself and got hold of the ball when Mac Mon in the 86thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xavies Muñagorri got free with Giacomo Casanova in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in FC Bruges's zone, Loco Palermo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luc Van Hinnendael came out of the goal and Loco Palermo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Montesacro FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Bruges for a fine match.
