In the 27thth minute of the game Andrea Pugliese who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Getafe Deportivo's Jairo Castellano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 29th minute, Curcio Carballeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brun Hello was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Curcio Carballeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Hikmet Bahar took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Jairo Castellano to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Haroldo Dzik got free with Jairo Castellano in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. AC Milan's Brun Hello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Curcio Carballeira in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute, AC Milan's Andrea Pugliese ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jairo Castellano. Jairo Castellano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The wind increased when Andrea Pugliese made the kick off in the second half. Jairo Castellano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hikmet Bahar in the 51st minute of play. The corner led AC Milan's Andrea Pugliese to fire away a dangerous shot which Jairo Castellano despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Club Getafe Deportivo's zone, Andrea Pugliese stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jairo Castellano came out of the goal and Andrea Pugliese tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58th minute Andrea Pugliese shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Castellano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AC Milan's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Andrea Pugliese in the 59th minute. After a rather tough play, AC Milan's Gavino Onbera got a free kick in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Club Getafe Deportivo's Curcio Carballeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
