The supporters of Gabbro FC booed when Montesacro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alkinoos Baloukos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Montesacro FC's Paolo Rossi got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Edvard Slæggerup fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giacomo Casanova having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Montesacro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edvard Slæggerup was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The referee ignored Gabbro FC's protests and gave Gustavo Piearres a yellow card for diving instead. Ciccio Bussi ran back to his position shaking his head. 88 minutes into the match, Montesacro FC's Paolo Rossi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alessandro Mancinelli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alessandro Mancinelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Rossi in the 90th minute of the match. A collision led to Gabbro FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Cemil Tanacan hit a great ball. Alessandro Mancinelli came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Montesacro FC's Paolo Rossi. But to his dismay, Paolo Rossi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1.
