With a little luck, Gabbro FC's Alessandro Mancinelli got control of the ball when Camilo Mouricio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edvard Slæggerup sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Gabbro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Errando came free, but Alessandro Mancinelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabbro FC's Alessandro Mancinelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Gabbro FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Vasco Olarticoechea got a free kick in the 37th minute. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 46th match minute, San Lorenzo de Sarandi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasco Olarticoechea to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Gabbro FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Lorenzo Jerrold made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Lorenzo Jerrold's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alessandro Mancinelli was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. In the 53rd minute Ivan Errando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Mancinelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
