In the 11thth minute of the game Oktay Eğriöz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Bruges's Luc Van Hinnendael was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oktay Eğriöz got free with Luc Van Hinnendael in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Oktay Eğriöz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luc Van Hinnendael was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. 22 minutes into the match, Xavies Muñagorri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mira Pene. Paso FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xavies Muñagorri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Mira Pene showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shane Corrigan in the 28th minute of the match. Mira Pene didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xavies Muñagorri went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Mira Pene came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Bruges's Mac Mon. But to his dismay, Mac Mon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Mira Pene made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavies Muñagorri in the 39th minute of play. Paso FC's Tomas Lucero got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oktay Eğriöz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luc Van Hinnendael having to make a save. Luc Van Hinnendael made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Oktay Eğriöz sent off a good shot on target. Luc Van Hinnendael made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oktay Eğriöz in the 46th minute. In the 48thth minute of the game Xavies Muñagorri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paso FC's Mira Pene was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Paso FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Bruges were winning 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xavies Muñagorri was the one to do the kick off. Ken Brogren scored 1-4 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mira Pene, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
