One of SK Mons:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Winksele 2016:s goal. Connor Osmond went to the wrong direction when Big Hulk was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 13th minute, Remzi Nuri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute, Chen Hai Zhi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Quirin Brauer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Winksele 2016's Ben Dillemans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trevor Eubank in the 22nd minute of play. Ben Dillemans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven Puttemans in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steven Puttemans in the 26th minute of play forced Winksele 2016's goalkeeper Ben Dillemans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ben Dillemans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trevor Eubank, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Ben Dillemans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steven Puttemans in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half SK Mons were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sylven Van Der Meeren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Theo De Moor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SK Mons's Connor Osmond was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to SK Mons getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Steven Puttemans hit a great ball. The throw-in from Nick Daniels in the 56th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Winksele 2016's Georg Söderqvist. Connor Osmond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Georg Söderqvist in the 57th minute of the match. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by SK Mons's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Big Hulk was slow to take the kick. During this time Winksele 2016's players had a chance to rest. Yanniek Verhaert thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Connor Osmond, a very annoying self made goal in the 59th minute which led to 1-1. A collision led to Winksele 2016 getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Tommie Verhengen hit a great ball. SK Mons made a substitution. Cornel Ulici replaced Bogumil Czapski. In the 64th minute SK Mons were awarded a corner. Christoph Van den Berch went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 65th match minute, SK Mons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Olofsson to maneuver through the defense. SK Mons's Connor Osmond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sylven Van Der Meeren in the 68th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Cornel Ulici had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ben Dillemans. Winksele 2016's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cornel Ulici was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 72nd match minute, SK Mons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gust Van Dijck to maneuver through the defense. Connor Osmond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sylven Van Der Meeren in the 75th minute of the match. Steven Puttemanss short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Ben Dillemans to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ben Dillemans made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Steven Puttemans sent off a good shot on target. Quirin Brauer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Connor Osmond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Winksele 2016's Ben Dillemans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Winksele 2016 from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SK Mons had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
