Christoph Van den Berch's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brun Hello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 27th minute of the match AC Milan got a corner. SK Mons's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andrea Pugliese ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Andrea Pugliese almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SK Mons's Connor Osmond did a great save. In the 30th minute, Steven Puttemans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AC Milan's Andrea Pugliese got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brun Hello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogumil Czapski in the 32nd minute of play. Brun Hello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trevor Eubank, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. SK Mons's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Haroldo Dzik was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrea Pugliese stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Connor Osmond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Dzik in the 51st minute of the match. Brun Hello made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Bogumil Czapski sent off a good shot on target. Haroldo Dzik took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Connor Osmond. Connor Osmond dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 56th minute Trevor Eubank shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brun Hello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Connor Osmond came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by AC Milan's Andrea Pugliese. But to his dismay, Andrea Pugliese quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Connor Osmond came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by AC Milan's Haroldo Dzik. But to his dismay, Haroldo Dzik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. SK Mons made a substitution. Leif Olofsson replaced Bogumil Czapski. SK Mons's Cornel Ulici was substituted for Steven Puttemans. With a little luck, AC Milan's Brun Hello got control of the ball when Trevor Eubank tried to sneak it across the goal line. Connor Osmond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Dzik in the 71st minute of the match.
