With a little luck, Amboy FC's Ariel Mourelatos got control of the ball when Paolo Rossi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bruce Cornforth hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 16th match minute, Amboy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sture Raknes to maneuver through the defense. If Paolo Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ariel Mourelatos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loco Palermo in the 20th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Montesacro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Modestio came free, but Giacomo Casanova reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amboy FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wang Hai in the 26th minute. After taking down the ball on Amboy FC's corner Wang Hai fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Giacomo Casanova quite easily take care of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giacomo Casanova prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Giacomo Casanova didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amboy FC. 38 minutes into the match, Paolo Rossi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ariel Mourelatos, 1-0. In the 41st minute Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giacomo Casanova saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amboy FC's Ariel Mourelatos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Amboy FC from getting a goal against them. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Loco Palermo to make the kick off. If Juliusz Julien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Paolo Rossi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Montesacro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Giacomo Casanova showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valerio Spadoni in the 62nd minute of the match. Giacomo Casanova stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Amboy FC's Ariel Mourelatos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loco Palermo in the 71st minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Amboy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Loco Palermo came free, but Ariel Mourelatos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Loco Palermo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Montesacro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paolo Rossi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ariel Mourelatos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciccio Bussi, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Ciccio Bussi notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Amboy FC's Ariel Mourelatos. Ariel Mourelatos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Montesacro FC's Giacomo Casanova got control of the ball when Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán tried to sneak it across the goal line.
