Paolo Rossi came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jess Carnduff could save by the left post. 8 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goalkeeper Jess Carnduff had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paolo Rossi. Manfred Kottsieper's late challenge caught a Montesacro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manfred Kottsieper helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Alemannia Aachen getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Manfred Kottsieper hit a great ball. Daniel Prodan made in the 13th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Paolo Rossi. Giacomo Casanova showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Müller, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Giacomo Casanova made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from La Rat in the 18th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Alemannia Aachen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt Rosenbaum to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juliusz Julien got free with Jess Carnduff in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the match, Montesacro FC's goal looked a bit too open when La Rat came free, but Giacomo Casanova reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giacomo Casanova made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from La Rat in the 26th minute of play. After 26 minutes of play, Alemannia Aachen's La Rat made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giacomo Casanova was left in no man's land by his defense there! If La Rat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Georg Skoglund kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. When Mateusz Rydel came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Alemannia Aachen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateusz Rydel couldn't finish the play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for La Rat to strike the kick off in the second half. Montesacro FC's Giacomo Casanova played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateusz Rydel in the 56th minute of play. Giacomo Casanova made an important save on a dangerous shot by La Rat in the 59th minute. Giacomo Casanova made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when La Rat sent off a good shot on target. The corner ended in Frans Baltzer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Montesacro FC's Giacomo Casanova did a great save. Alemannia Aachen's Jess Carnduff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Rossi in the 90th minute of play. The Alemannia Aachen supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Alemannia Aachen would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
