Haiti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Eulalio Oro scored to the left of an out of position Noel Seide, making the score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eulalio Oro got free with Noel Seide in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baldomero Iztal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Alphonse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Noel Seide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eulalio Oro, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. When Alvaro Rito fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CA Vélez Sarsfield's protests and gave Alvaro Rito a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes CA Vélez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Rito. Noel Seide made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Froilan Gitano sent off a good shot on target. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonathan Alphonse stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Noel Seide showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eulalio Oro in the 52nd minute of the match. After 56 minutes of play, CA Vélez Sarsfield's Eulalio Oro made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Noel Seide was left in no man's land by his defense there! They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
