Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Katia in the 2nd minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hector Covarrubias kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After having played for 7 minutes, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Pardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jaime Pardo came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Pardo couldn't finish the play. Baldomero Lapurdi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Nuevo Horizonte booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Escribano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xavier Zoido's late challenge caught a Nuevo Horizonte's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xavier Zoido helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Xavier Zoido got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, Feliberto Ramirez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baldomero Lapurdi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Jacobo Nores made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Nuevo Horizonte's Honorio Aztore got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After having played for 47 minutes, Paulino Katia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nuevo Horizonte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulino Katia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Nuevo Horizonte players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Paraguay were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Baldomero Lapurdi made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Niceto Virila was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jaime Pardo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 60 minute of play. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nuevo Horizonte's goalkeeper Niceto Virila, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Honorio Aztore came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulino Katia's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulino Katia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Alan Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Aztore in the 84th minute of play. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Katia in the 90th minute of play. Paulino Katia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paraguay's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
