El Salvador's Moises Fernandino managed to work through Nuevo Horizonte's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Moises Fernandino dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomero Lapurdi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moises Fernandino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niceto Virila having to interfere. Nemesio Meder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. After 13 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Abram Luque. After a defensive mix-up in El Salvador's zone, Honorio Aztore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal and Honorio Aztore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abram Luque to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Zorita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baldomero Lapurdi went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Feliberto Ramirez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Ricardo Zorita made a huge save. In the 33rd minute Moises Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niceto Virila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Salvador's Marco Tamayo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hernan Gumaro, made in the 35th minute of the game. After having played for 36 minutes, Marco Tamayo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Tamayo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricardo Zorita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baldomero Lapurdi in the 39th minute. With his leg Ricardo Zorita managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Nuevo Horizonte's Baldomero Lapurdi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Nuevo Horizonte's zone, Abram Luque stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niceto Virila came out of the goal and Abram Luque tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomero Lapurdi in the 54th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Fernandino got free with Niceto Virila in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the game, Hernan Gumaro threw the ball into play from the sideline. El Salvador's Valentino Ferrant quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Moises Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Valentino Ferrant hit a great ball. Nuevo Horizonte's Honorio Aztore couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 70th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for El Salvador. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baldomero Lapurdi in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Zorita saved El Salvador from getting behind. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Lapurdi in the 82nd minute of the match. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Lapurdi in the 83rd minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Nuevo Horizonte's Baldomero Lapurdi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Zorita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. There was no doubt that Nuevo Horizonte were the better team. Nuevo Horizonte's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
