The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arévalo Miñaca in the 6th minute of play forced Vetevendosje FC's goalkeeper Eşref Tuney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Arévalo Miñaca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arne Rusterholz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafal Cichewski in the 10th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Arévalo Miñaca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eşref Tuney was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Eşref Tuney came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Geležinis Vilkas's Arévalo Miñaca. But to his dismay, Arévalo Miñaca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Eşref Tuney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arévalo Miñaca in the 21st minute of the match. When Hjalmar Petersson fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vetevendosje FC's protests and gave Hjalmar Petersson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Geležinis Vilkas booed when Vetevendosje FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hjalmar Petersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eşref Tuney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arévalo Miñaca in the 24th minute of the match. When Geležinis Vilkas's Arévalo Miñaca in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vetevendosje FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 29th minute, Geležinis Vilkas's Arévalo Miñaca ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eşref Tuney. Eşref Tuney yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arévalo Miñaca in the 33rd minute of play forced Vetevendosje FC's goalkeeper Eşref Tuney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Geležinis Vilkas booed when Vetevendosje FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olov Grep didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Geležinis Vilkas's Arévalo Miñaca dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. Arévalo Miñaca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eşref Tuney having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The wind increased when Hjalmar Petersson made the kick off in the second half. Geležinis Vilkas's Arne Rusterholz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafal Cichewski in the 51st minute of play. 52 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's Arévalo Miñaca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eşref Tuney narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Arévalo Miñaca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's goalkeeper Arne Rusterholz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roland Rosendahl. A collision led to Vetevendosje FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Karl-Magnus Sävström hit a great ball. Arévalo Miñaca struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Eşref Tuney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geležinis Vilkas. 68 minutes into the match, Vetevendosje FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arévalo Miñaca came free, but Eşref Tuney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arévalo Miñaca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Eşref Tuney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geležinis Vilkas's Arne Rusterholz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Geležinis Vilkas from getting a goal against them. Eşref Tuney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arévalo Miñaca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Arévalo Miñaca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eşref Tuney was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Arévalo Miñaca might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eşref Tuney. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arévalo Miñaca ran back to his position shaking his head. Vetevendosje FC's Eşref Tuney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arévalo Miñaca in the 80th minute of play. Arévalo Miñaca scored 7-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eşref Tuney, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arévalo Miñaca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eşref Tuney having to make a save. Eşref Tuney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arévalo Miñaca in the 85th minute of the match. When Saulius Grapskis came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Geležinis Vilkas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saulius Grapskis couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the Geležinis Vilkas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
