The tension between the Huckebein and the Galati Harbour Cats players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Galati Harbour Cats booed when Huckebein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Hermon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Apolo Santxol stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shi Li's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. A collision led to Huckebein getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Lucjan Kendra hit a great ball. Apolo Santxol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Inautzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute, Shi Li made a precise shot to the right of Apolo Santxol. Huckebein's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, Galati Harbour Cats's goal looked a bit too open when Marin Jumancă came free, but Octavian Soare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute Rogelio Inautzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Santxol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Huckebein's goal looked a bit too open when Shi Li came free, but Apolo Santxol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Li in the 26th minute of play forced Huckebein's goalkeeper Apolo Santxol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Apolo Santxol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Inautzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. With a little luck, Galati Harbour Cats's Octavian Soare got control of the ball when Marin Jumancă tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th minute Marin Jumancă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Soare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Onurhan Çinuçin kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Octavian Soare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Jumancă in the 40th minute of play. After the first half Galati Harbour Cats were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shi Li to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Huckebein was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gwidon Augustyn to maneuver through the defense. Octavian Soare didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marin Jumancă went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 62nd minute, Onurhan Çinuçin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Apolo Santxol was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 66 played minutes Huckebein got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Ferit Ayçetin. Octavian Soare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wolfgang Dalkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Galati Harbour Cats's Petruț Iliuță was substituted for Valeriu Zdrobiş. In the 82ndth minute of the game Shi Li who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Huckebein's Apolo Santxol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Octavian Soare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wolfgang Dalkvist in the 85th minute of the match. Wolfgang Dalkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Octavian Soare read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Galati Harbour Cats's Shi Li nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Apolo Santxol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 92nd minute Wolfgang Dalkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Soare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Wolfgang Dalkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavian Soare was relentless in the 95th minute of the game.
