An unexpectedly hard shot by Junior Savaş in the 8th minute of play forced Gremio Viana's goalkeeper João Carvalhais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Menchu FC's Jacinto Ostots played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Luna in the 12th minute of play. Gremio Viana were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Menchu FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edson Leme took the corner. João Carvalhais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Junior Savaş, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Gremio Viana's goalkeeper João Carvalhais had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Junior Savaş. In the 21st minute, Menchu FC's Junior Savaş ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind João Carvalhais. João Carvalhais yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Menchu FC's attentive Luca Prodan managed to snatch the ball when Alexandre Onofre made a throw-in in the 23rd minute of the game. When José Ventura came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Gremio Viana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Ventura couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Menchu FC's Lino Roldan got a free kick in the 37th minute. Gremio Viana's José Ventura got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Gremio Viana booed when Menchu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Prodan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Junior Savaş to strike the kick off in the second half. Junior Savaş scored 2-1 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Carvalhais, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. João Carvalhais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Junior Savaş in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Menchu FC's Donato Sein got a free kick in the 59th minute. Carlos Luna who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Jacinto Ostots when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jacinto Ostots made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Luna in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute Junior Savaş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carvalhais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Menchu FC booed when Gremio Viana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Durães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Gomesano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Carvalhais having to make a save. 76 minutes into the match, Gremio Viana's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Karlo came free, but João Carvalhais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, Leonel Karlo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Carvalhais was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 81st match minute, Menchu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javi Milei to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Luna's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jacinto Ostots firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Junior Savaş in the 84th minute of play forced Gremio Viana's goalkeeper João Carvalhais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Carvalhais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Karlo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Gomesano made in the 93rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Javi Milei. In the 94th minute, Leonel Karlo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Menchu FC had won after a very even match.
