The audience was convinced that Natalio Polentzi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edvin Bruhn was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Natalio Polentzi to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Sten Hård was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Yaji FC reached it. Yaji FC's Gavino Bras proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Yaji FC from getting a goal against them. Sten Hård hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Patrik Ahlrots short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Gavino Bras to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ronnys Lärjungar's Sverker Björk was substituted for Tommy Beck. In the 74th minute of the match, Patrik Ahlrot got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gavino Bras was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Edvin Bruhn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Cordera in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Yaji FC's Natalio Polentzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edvin Bruhn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Kjell-Arne Skott who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Gavino Bras when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjell-Arne Skott in the 89th minute of play forced Yaji FC's goalkeeper Gavino Bras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Bertil Harlén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Prospero Francesco hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.

Yaji FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
