But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tasos Kavvadias couldn't finish the play. Panagiotis Mitsibonas's late challenge caught a Los Irrompibles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Panagiotis Mitsibonas helped the player get up and apologised. The audience thought a goal was coming when Generoso Berbiz got free with Babbis Petroutsos in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 14 minutes into the match, Drafi's goalkeeper Babbis Petroutsos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benito Sabino. In the 16th minute Sakis Korakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Inko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Iordanis Papadatos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sakis Korakis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Justino Inko. Los Irrompibles's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Benito Sabino hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alejandro Ezkerra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Benito Sabino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Babbis Petroutsos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonis Skatzos charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Ezkerra in the 81st minute of play forced Drafi's goalkeeper Babbis Petroutsos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alejandro Ezkerra got his second yellow card in the match during the 87th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 91st minute, Tasos Kavvadias made a precise shot to the right of Justino Inko. Los Irrompibles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Justino Inko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tasos Kavvadias in the 95th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
