Mário Súľovský was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. October 04 were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Estudiantes de La Plata's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fellipe Valle took the corner. The corner ended in Fellipe Valle almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Estudiantes de La Plata's Mário Súľovský did a great save. In the 11th minute, Emilio Cascajares made a precise shot to the right of Mário Súľovský. Estudiantes de La Plata's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. A collision led to October 04 getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Andrey Nazarov hit a great ball. Mário Súľovský made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Cascajares in the 20th minute of play. If Emilio Cascajares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Emilio Cascajares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mário Súľovský read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Mário Súľovský came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by October 04's Emilio Cascajares. But to his dismay, Emilio Cascajares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After having played for 26 minutes, Emilio Cascajares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. October 04's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Cascajares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27th minute, Emilio Cascajares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The October 04 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After some careless play in the Estudiantes de La Plata defense, Emilio Cascajares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mário Súľovský. The Estudiantes de La Plata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mário Súľovský should have stopped the shot. In the 42nd minute, Emilio Cascajares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mário Súľovský was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-7 lead.

Estudiantes de La Plata made a substitution. Joel Barco replaced Atilano Poz. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emilio Cascajares was the one to do the kick off. Emilio Cascajares might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mário Súľovský. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emilio Cascajares ran back to his position shaking his head. Mário Súľovský made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Emilio Cascajares sent off a good shot on target. Mário Súľovský came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by October 04's Emilio Cascajares. But to his dismay, Emilio Cascajares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. 61 minutes into the match, October 04's goal looked a bit too open when Filomeno Marko came free, but Eskil Vester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emilio Cascajares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the game, Seber Piñera threw the ball into play from the sideline. October 04's Narciso Paulista quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 77th minute Emilio Cascajares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário Súľovský saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Estudiantes de La Plata made a substitution. Marcos Bilintx replaced Albino Viviano. Estudiantes de La Plata made a substitution. Eugenio Gartzea replaced Anton Mălăele. October 04's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fellipe Valle in the 80th minute. Horácio Aguiar dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 84 played minutes October 04 got a freekick which was hit by Fellipe Valle. October 04's Eskil Vester played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Bilintx in the 85th minute of play. A collision led to October 04 getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Emilio Cascajares hit a great ball. In the 88th minute of the match Florencio Ponc shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eskil Vester showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Mário Súľovský didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emilio Cascajares went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-9 was the resulting score. Eskil Vester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filomeno Marko in the 95th minute of the match. The October 04 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
