With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dumitru Enoaia in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mário Súľovský saved Estudiantes de La Plata from getting behind. Jurand Ptaszek hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Geofredo Fox made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albino Viviano in the 11th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dumitru Enoaia got free with Mário Súľovský in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mário Súľovský made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dumitru Enoaia in the 21st minute. North Port UTD were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Estudiantes de La Plata's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lucas Alwege took the corner. The corner ended in Onuralp Ülküm almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Estudiantes de La Plata's Mário Súľovský did a great save. With a little luck, Estudiantes de La Plata's Mário Súľovský got control of the ball when Dean Arrascaeta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dumitru Enoaia succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 29th playminute. Mário Súľovský came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by North Port UTD's Dumitru Enoaia. But to his dismay, Dumitru Enoaia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0.

Estudiantes de La Plata made a substitution. Joel Barco replaced Placido Estefan. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hakkı Deniz Danış made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albino Viviano in the 54th minute of play forced North Port UTD's goalkeeper Geofredo Fox to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mário Súľovský stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dumitru Enoaia's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. North Port UTD's Geofredo Fox proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save North Port UTD from getting a goal against them. In the 59th minute, Dumitru Enoaia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de La Plata's goal looked a bit too open when Hakkı Deniz Danış came free, but Mário Súľovský reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64thth minute of the game Dumitru Enoaia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Estudiantes de La Plata's Mário Súľovský was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 65th minute Hakkı Deniz Danış shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário Súľovský saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodolphe Denis was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 87 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of North Port UTD:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Estudiantes de La Plata:s goal. Geofredo Fox went to the wrong direction when Florencio Ponc was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Mário Súľovský didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dumitru Enoaia went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 96 minutes into the game, Dumitru Enoaia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Mário Súľovský was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
