Dochko Rodev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Volker Gleicke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 18 played minutes Los Irrompibles got a freekick which was hit by Luka De Roeck. Los Irrompibles's Fabricio Lawrence played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaj Skager in the 22nd minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Club Atletico Los Andes's Dochko Rodev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atletico Los Andes from getting a goal against them. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Atletico Los Andes fully deserved thier win.
