With a little luck, Galati Harbour Cats's Octavian Soare got control of the ball when Baltazar Clavijo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Shi Li came free, but Yao Zhan Sang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11thth minute of the game Shi Li who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borussia Dortmund's Yao Zhan Sang was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 14th minute of the match Galati Harbour Cats got a corner. Borussia Dortmund's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dan Petrescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Dan Petrescu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Yao Zhan Sang quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 16thth minute of the game Ianis Man who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borussia Dortmund's Yao Zhan Sang was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th minute, Shi Li made a precise shot to the right of Yao Zhan Sang. Borussia Dortmund's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Octavian Soare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Levander, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. If Tomas Levander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Borussia Dortmund's Yao Zhan Sang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shi Li in the 33rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Shi Li's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yao Zhan Sang was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. After having played for 38 minutes, Fernando Grover managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borussia Dortmund's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Grover was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yao Zhan Sang came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Galati Harbour Cats's Shi Li. But to his dismay, Shi Li quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 46th minute, Shi Li made a precise shot to the right of Yao Zhan Sang. Borussia Dortmund's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Shi Li made a kick off. When Galati Harbour Cats's Shi Li in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Borussia Dortmund's goalie prevented a goal. After 57 played minutes Galati Harbour Cats got a freekick which was hit by Mo Yuan Fan. 63 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Shi Li came free, but Yao Zhan Sang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Levander in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octavian Soare saved Galati Harbour Cats from getting behind. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Tomas Levander sped through Galati Harbour Cats's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Octavian Soare. Galati Harbour Cats made a substitution. Petruț Iliuță replaced Valeriu Zdrobiş. After 76 played minutes Borussia Dortmund got a freekick which was hit by Hudson Ribeiro. In the 81st minute Baltazar Clavijo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Soare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, Tomas Levander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Borussia Dortmund made a substitution. Emesto Llames replaced Tuan Lovell. Octavian Soare stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Grover's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Galati Harbour Cats had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
