Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fritz Ernst Joinvilense took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Estudiantes de La Plata booed when Botafogo AP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrinho Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Estudiantes de La Plata's Filomeno Marko slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of José Pedro Bertassi. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. 8 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de La Plata's goal looked a bit too open when Fritz Ernst Joinvilense came free, but Mário Súľovský reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fritz Ernst Joinvilense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Estudiantes de La Plata's Mário Súľovský played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fritz Ernst Joinvilense in the 14th minute of play. Ademir de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Fritz Ernst Joinvilense notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Estudiantes de La Plata's Mário Súľovský. Mário Súľovský was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 28th minute, Filomeno Marko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mário Súľovský showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fritz Ernst Joinvilense, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Albino Viviano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but José Pedro Bertassi made a huge save. A collision led to Botafogo AP getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Wiliam Couto hit a great ball. Mário Súľovský showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fritz Ernst Joinvilense, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Florentino Rodas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving José Pedro Bertassi. That made the score 2-1 in the 41 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Albino Viviano made the kick off in the second half. Carmine Di Paola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fritz Ernst Joinvilense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mário Súľovský read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. After 55 minutes Estudiantes de La Plata's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ademir de Almeida who took care of the corner kick. Pedrinho Alvarenga made a great header on Botafogo AP's corner, it was just that Estudiantes de La Plata's Mário Súľovský managed to reach the ball for a save. Filomeno Marko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Bertassi having to interfere. In the 66th minute Albino Viviano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Pedro Bertassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fritz Ernst Joinvilense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Botafogo AP's José Pedro Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filomeno Marko in the 77th minute of play. Estudiantes de La Plata's Eugenio Gartzea was substituted for Atilano Poz. Botafogo AP's Carlos Eduardo Furlan was substituted for Fritz Ernst Joinvilense. The corner led Botafogo AP's Ademir de Almeida to fire away a dangerous shot which Mário Súľovský despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Carlos Eduardo Furlan came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Botafogo AP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Eduardo Furlan couldn't finish the play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
