Fernando Selatse didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Niclas Füllkrug went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Kajetan Gdowik came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Despidida AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kajetan Gdowik couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute, Alvaro Raymond left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Despidida AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 20 played minutes AZURDUY F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Laurgain. Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niclas Füllkrug in the 22nd minute of play. Fernando Selatse came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by AZURDUY F.C.'s Niclas Füllkrug. But to his dismay, Niclas Füllkrug quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 26 minutes into the match, AZURDUY F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Raymond came free, but Teodosio Iigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Despidida AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Károly Bogdán was slow to take the kick. During this time AZURDUY F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Despidida AFC's goalie and right to Sun Feng Chen. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Despidida AFC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Teodosio Iigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Raymond in the 31st minute of play. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Hermansson in the 33rd minute of play. Alvaro Raymond received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Teodosio Iigo came out and tried to block the shot, but Alvaro Raymond slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 34th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvaro Raymond got free with Teodosio Iigo in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 44 minutes, Niclas Füllkrug managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AZURDUY F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Niclas Füllkrug was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Kajetan Gdowik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tom Hermansson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Tom Hermansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. AZURDUY F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Tom Hermansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Selatse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alvaro Raymond scored 3-2 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodosio Iigo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Dinu Ivănescu replaced Ancho Branca. AZURDUY F.C. made a substitution. Manuel Valerio replaced Vinicio Venceslao. Teodosio Iigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Teodosio Iigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinu Ivănescu in the 70th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinu Ivănescu in the 72nd minute of play forced AZURDUY F.C.'s goalkeeper Teodosio Iigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernando Selatse showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 84 minutes into the match, AZURDUY F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dinu Ivănescu came free, but Teodosio Iigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Despidida AFC's Dinu Ivănescu in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
