Alberto Mendonça started the match with the kick off. A collision led to SORRISO E. C. getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Jairo Madureira hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felippe Amaral in the 7th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Douglas Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Madureira. Cercadinho were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after SORRISO E. C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Enio Freire took the corner. The corner led Cercadinho's Enio Freire to fire away a dangerous shot which Douglas Viana despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 14 played minutes Cercadinho got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Luz. SORRISO E. C.'s Vítor Sousa shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 15th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Eurico de Lara but with some difficulty. Carlos Fernando Mesquita kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th minute of the match Vítor Sousa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eurico de Lara skillfully saved the ball. Felippe Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Alberto Mendonça received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eurico de Lara came out and tried to block the shot, but Alberto Mendonça slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 27th minute. Eurico de Lara was a little too slow when Rodrigo Penha got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 2-0. After 40 played minutes Cercadinho got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Fontes. In the 41st minute of the match Vítor Sousa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eurico de Lara skillfully saved the ball. Eurico de Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo da Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After a rather tough play, Cercadinho's Teodoro Fontes got a free kick in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

52 minutes into the game, SORRISO E. C.'s Alberto Mendonça nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eurico de Lara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The supporters of Cercadinho booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The free kick made by Cercadinho's Leopoldo Sergipano led to a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Enio Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cercadinho's Felippe Amaral got a free kick in the 64th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Mendonça in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eurico de Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alberto Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Eurico de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cercadinho made a substitution. Eugênio Rodrigues replaced Felipe Luz. In the 72nd minute, Alfredo da Rocha made a precise shot to the right of Eurico de Lara. Cercadinho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. In the 79th minute Horácio Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico de Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Cláudio Couto came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the SORRISO E. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cláudio Couto couldn't finish the play. After 88 minutes, Alberto Mendonça made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Cercadinho's Eurico de Lara tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
