Dênis Quadros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valdo Catarinense having to make a save. If Júlio Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio Eger charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Júlio Eger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Eger to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th match minute, Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Galvão to maneuver through the defense. Dalmo Barreto came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by SORRISO E. C.'s Júlio Eger. But to his dismay, Júlio Eger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horácio Pereira in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dalmo Barreto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Alberto Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the SORRISO E. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Mendonça couldn't finish the play. Dalmo Barreto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Mendonça went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 32nd minute, Júlio Eger made a precise shot to the right of Dalmo Barreto. Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 36 minutes into the game, SORRISO E. C.'s Horácio Pereira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dalmo Barreto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Dalmo Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Mendonça in the 42nd minute of play. Alberto Mendonça scored 0-5 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dalmo Barreto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alberto Mendonça was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Alberto Mendonça rounded Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-6. SORRISO E. C.'s Horácio Pereira got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Mendonça in the 58th minute of play forced Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's goalkeeper Dalmo Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's goalkeeper Dalmo Barreto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Mendonça. In the 75th minute Cláudio Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Alberto Mendonça dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dalmo Barreto, 0-8. Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Reinaldo Marquez scored to the left of an out of position Dalmo Barreto, making the score, 0-9. 84 minutes into the match, Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Horácio Pereira came free, but Dalmo Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SORRISO E. C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vítor Sousa in the 85th minute. The corner led SORRISO E. C.'s Vítor Sousa to fire away a dangerous shot which Dalmo Barreto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Pereira in the 88th minute of play forced Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's goalkeeper Dalmo Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Mendonça took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dalmo Barreto. Dalmo Barreto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-10. In the 95th minute, Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Júlio Eger fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of SORRISO E. C. booed when Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dênis Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. SORRISO E. C. played a much better game than Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ and deserved their victory. The Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
