When Hélder Trigo came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Vascogoianiense FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélder Trigo couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, Glauco Paranaense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olavo Fonseca was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 23 minutes into the match, Glauco Paranaense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olavo Fonseca. Vascogoianiense FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Glauco Paranaense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Vascogoianiense FC's Anderson Valladares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hélder Trigo made a kick off. The supporters of Vascogoianiense FC booed when CE LAJEADENSE RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adilson Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Olavo Fonseca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Glauco Paranaense.
