A wasted opportunity for Reko-Recko 03™. 8 minutes into the game, Donato de Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MARINUS MZC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Reko-Recko 03™ the free kick. Donato de Souza hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Reko-Recko 03™'s zone, Valdo Guimarães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haroldo de Sena came out of the goal and Valdo Guimarães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reko-Recko 03™'s Walmyr Proença got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. During the 23rd minute of the match Donato de Souza completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Donato de Souza a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Donato de Souza hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the match, Reko-Recko 03™'s Gal Van broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Vavá Recko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reko-Recko 03™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Vavá Recko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Perivaldo Moreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Haroldo de Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Délio Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Hortêncio Rosa in the 39th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by MARINUS MZC's Alex Vianna. After having played for 45 minutes, Délio Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MARINUS MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Délio Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

A collision led to Reko-Recko 03™ getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Hortêncio Rosa hit a great ball. Evaristo Arósio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Haroldo de Sena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Délio Souza in the 57th minute. After 61 minutes of play, Reko-Recko 03™'s Paulinho Chaves made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Perivaldo Moreira was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Reko-Recko 03™'s Haroldo de Sena got control of the ball when Délio Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hortêncio Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match.
