The crowd rose to their feet as Jovens Democratas MZC's Paulinho Fonseca slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valdo Catarinense. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Horácio Pereira scored 1-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marquinhos Diniz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 15th minute of the match, Wilian Antunes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Valdo Catarinense saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Júlio Eger fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SORRISO E. C.'s protests and gave Júlio Eger a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Eger to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, SORRISO E. C.'s Valdo Catarinense got control of the ball when Paulinho Fonseca tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 35 minutes, Wilian Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jovens Democratas MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilian Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Mendonça came free, but Marquinhos Diniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Wilian Antunes came free, but Valdo Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, SORRISO E. C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Wilian Antunes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Reinaldo Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. In the 49th minute of the match Jovens Democratas MZC got a corner. SORRISO E. C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Célio de Sousa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Emanuel Branco was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Mateus Salgado hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Valdo Catarinense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilian Antunes's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. The audience was convinced that Horácio Pereira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marquinhos Diniz was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. If Wilian Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65thth minute of the game Emanuel Branco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SORRISO E. C.'s Valdo Catarinense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th minute of the match SORRISO E. C. got a corner. Jovens Democratas MZC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vítor Sousa ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led SORRISO E. C.'s Vítor Sousa to fire away a dangerous shot which Marquinhos Diniz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 73rd match minute, Jovens Democratas MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilian Antunes to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Jovens Democratas MZC's Paulinho Fonseca got a free kick in the 74th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Mendonça got free with Marquinhos Diniz in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Jovens Democratas MZC's Emanuel Branco in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SORRISO E. C.'s goalie prevented a goal. 92 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Wilian Antunes came free, but Valdo Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SORRISO E. C.'s zone, Wilian Antunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdo Catarinense came out of the goal and Wilian Antunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 96 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Reinaldo Marquez. After 97 played minutes, Jovens Democratas MZC's Célio de Sousa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Valdo Catarinense came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jovens Democratas MZC reached it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Jovens Democratas MZC had won after a very even match.
