Bitelon FC - SAF's Cristian Furlan quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some careless play in the Bitelon FC - SAF defense, Júlio Eger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilvan Paraíba. The Bitelon FC - SAF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilvan Paraíba should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The referee ignored Bitelon FC - SAF's protests and gave Luiz Eduardo Bueno a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bitelon FC - SAF's Tiago Amorim got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Tiago Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdo Catarinense having to interfere. Bitelon FC - SAF's Enéas Soeiro was substituted for Luiz Eduardo Bueno. Valdo Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enéas Soeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute.
