Amílton Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elias Damasceno in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdo Catarinense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the game, Carlos Arantes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SORRISO E. C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 卡納里尼奧 FC the free kick. A collision led to SORRISO E. C. getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Carlos Arantes hit a great ball. After some careless play in the 卡納里尼奧 FC defense, Horácio Pereira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Vítor Guimarães. In the 38th minute of the match, Alberto Mendonça tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but João Vítor Guimarães saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match had been going on for 40 minutes, SORRISO E. C.'s Júlio Eger got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of João Vítor Guimarães. 44 minutes into the game, Agostinho Guedes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Valdo Catarinense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eliseu Alagoano made a kick off. After a rather tough play, SORRISO E. C.'s Reinaldo Marquez got a free kick in the 52nd minute. With a little luck, SORRISO E. C.'s Valdo Catarinense got control of the ball when Eliseu Alagoano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Horácio Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that SORRISO E. C. were the better team. SORRISO E. C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
