Jefferson do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arí Motta in the 15th minute of the match. A collision led to AF CERRADO getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Wellington Schmidt hit a great ball. Conrado França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Severino Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jefferson do Vale didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Didi Gaúcho went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 35 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Severino Alcântara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugênio Tasso. After 38 minutes, Geraldo Simões mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karaboudjan and the AF CERRADO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Geraldo Simões hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Ezequiel Melo scored 1-3 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jefferson do Vale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eugênio Tasso to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Melo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jefferson do Vale. Ezequiel Melo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Eugênio Tasso scored 2-4 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Severino Alcântara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Didi Gaúcho succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-5 in the 59th playminute. After a rather tough play, Karaboudjan's Geraldo Simões got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The supporters of AF CERRADO booed when Karaboudjan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geraldo Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 69 minutes, Artur Sergipano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AF CERRADO and the Karaboudjan players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to AF CERRADO getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Artur Sergipano hit a great ball. Severino Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raí Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. When Artur Sergipano was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 74 minutes had been played. In the 75th match minute, AF CERRADO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Sergipano to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Karaboudjan getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Aílton Simões hit a great ball. AF CERRADO's Nestor Cordeiro shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 78th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jefferson do Vale but with some difficulty. The supporters of AF CERRADO booed when Karaboudjan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raí Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. AF CERRADO's Arí Motta got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Arí Motta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jefferson do Vale was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-6. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. AF CERRADO had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
