Fernando Sena hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Betinho Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 41 minutes, Eurico de Lara successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 42nd minute, Olívio Xavier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

With his leg Erivaldo Freire managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Cercadinho's Felippe Amaral fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 58 minutes into the match, Real Brasília FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Felippe Amaral came free, but Erivaldo Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cercadinho's Walmyr Zanette was substituted for Nildo Toledo. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 61st minute, but Erivaldo Freire got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Real Brasília FC - DMZ hanging dry this time. In the 64th minute of the match, Felippe Amaral tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Erivaldo Freire saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Amílton de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cercadinho made a substitution. Leopoldo Sergipano replaced Sidney Paranaense. Cercadinho were furious when Walmyr Zanette was red carded, 74 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Cercadinho getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Walmyr Zanette hit a great ball. In the 75th minute of the match Olívio Xavier shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eurico de Lara showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Eurico de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tião Paranaense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Betinho Lara hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. The supporters of Real Brasília FC - DMZ booed when Cercadinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betinho Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredinho Sampaio in the 95th minute of play forced Cercadinho's goalkeeper Eurico de Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 98th play minutes Felippe Amaral shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Erivaldo Freire and just under the crossbar into goal.
